Mikaela I. “Kaela” Reser, 17, of Condon passed away July 27 at Mid-Columbia Medical Center in The Dalles, following an automobile accident near Condon.

Kaela was born June 30, 1999, in Pendleton to Olin H. and Mary A. Jones Reser. She was raised and attended school in Condon, where she would have been a senior this year.

She was active in school activities as well as 4-H, and enjoyed riding horses. She was working as a lifeguard at the Condon Swimming Pool.

Kaela is survived by her parents, Olin and Mary Reser; brother, Bob Reser; maternal grandparents, Cliff and Bonnie Aamodt; paternal grandmother, Mary Ellen Reser; and maternal great-grandparents, Pearl and George Sahlberg of Burns.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Jack Reser; and Ted Reser.

A funeral service was held Aug. 5, at the Gilliam County Fairgrounds in Condon. A concluding service and burial followed at the Reser Family Cemetery near Condon.
