Slater Elementary Open House will be held Thursday, Aug. 18, from noon until 1:30 p.m. Meet your teachers, drop off school supplies, and tour the school.

Hines Middle School registration will be held Monday, Aug. 15, from 7:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.

Hilander Day at Burns High School will be held Thursday, Aug. 18, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Seniors – 10 a.m.

Juniors – 11 a.m.

Sophomores – 1 p.m.

Freshmen – 2 p.m.

School begins, Monday, Aug. 22, with times as follows:

Slater Elementary School – 8 a.m. start time and 3:10 p.m. end time.

Hines Middle School – 7:30 a.m. doors open for breakfast, 7:48 a.m. first period begins, and 3:20 p.m. end time.

Burns High School – 7:40 a.m. first bell, 7:45 a.m. first period begins, and 3:30 p.m. end time.

BHS School begins: Monday, Aug. 22, for freshmen only.

Tuesday, Aug. 23 for ALL BHS Students.

Crane School District Transportation 2016-17

The Crane School Districts, 1J and No. 4, bus transportation schedule for students that will be attending Crane through the Open Enrollment Process for the 2016-17 school year will be as follows;

Starting Monday, Aug. 22, the Crane School District bus will pick up students at 6:50 a.m. in the parking lot of the Harney County Senior and Community Services Center and return students for pick up at 4:30 p.m. in the same location. Bus will run Monday through Thursday. Please be on time to drop off and pick up your children.

BEO School Supply Drive

Bank of Eastern Oregon (BEO) is once again offering its 13 branch lobbies as drop off sites to collect school supplies for local elementary students during July and August. Each year, BEO employees join in the bank’s efforts to collect these supplies for their community schools. Each Bank of Eastern Oregon branch will also offer a drawing for backpacks filled with supplies for lucky students, in addition to collecting supplies for their local grade schools or ESD offices to distribute. We welcome you to join with your local branch and celebrate the spirit of your hometown – bring your school supply donations to any BEO branch!  If you have a grade school student, please stop in, fill out a drawing ticket and enter for a chance to win a school backpack for your student! You do not have to be a customer and no purchase is necessary.
