Joan Hofman passed away peacefully at home on June 29.

Joan was born July 27, 1944, in Ontario to Harold and Nell Sevey. Joan and her twin brother, Gene, were the youngest of seven children.

After Harold’s death, Nell moved the family to Hines, where Joan met Earl Hofman. The couple were married Nov. 26, 1967. They soon celebrated the birth of their daughter, Tammy Kay. Three sons followed, Kevin John, Christopher Anthony, and Michael Henry.

Joan enjoyed caring for her family, camping, and visiting with friends and family. She was also a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Joan is survived by her husband of 49 years, Earl Hofman of Hines; daughter, Tammy Mock (Arnie) of Jacksonville, Fla.; sons, Kevin Hofman (Joyce) of Malad, Idaho, Christopher Hofman of Missoula, Mont., and Michael Hofman of Burns; brothers, Lauren Sevey of Los Angeles, Calif., and Gene Sevey (Lynn) of Bend; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Nell Sevey; brothers, Lloyd and Don Sevey; and sisters, Ellen Russel and Beverly Threadgill.
