The Burns (B) and Crane (C) track teams traveled to Nyssa on Friday, April 1, to take part in the Don Walker Invitational.

Emmett, Idaho, won the girls meet with 113.5 points, followed by Nyssa 101, Grant Union 79, Nampa Christian 75.78, Ontario 72.14, Adrian 57, Burns 51, La Grande 32, Cole Valley Christian 24 and Vale 20.14.

On the boys side, Jake Blackburn of Burns won the javelin to help the Hilanders finish sixth out of 18 teams. Emmett also won the boys meet with 124.5 points, followed by Nyssa with 72, Nampa Christian 71.5, La Grande 66, Ontario 65.5, Burns 65, Adrian 62, Crane 35, Harper 21, and Vale rounded out the top 10 with 18.5.

The Burns track team traveled to Culver Wednesday, March 30, to take part in the Culver Invitational.

The Lady Hilanders won the meet with 82 points and were led by Hoyt, who won the 400M, 800M, 3000M, and was part of the victorious 4x100M relay team. South Wasco Co tied host Culver for second place with 50 points, Madras finished with 34, and Monument 30.

Madras won the boys meet with 96 points followed closely by the Hilanders with 82. Burns was led by Davies, who won the 400M, 800M, 300M hurdles, and was part of the winning 4×400 relay team. South Wasco Co was third with 38, Culver scored 28, Monument 7, and La Pine finished with 3.
