Comment period extended

To provide the public more time to review and comment on proposed Malheur Lake Basin groundwater rules, the Oregon Water Resources Department (OWRD) has extended its public comment period from March 1 to March 30, 2016. This also means that the public hearings originally scheduled for Feb. 24 in Burns and Feb. 25 in Salem have been changed to March 30. The Burns public hearing will run from 10 a.m. until noon on Wednesday, March 30, at the Harney County Community Center, 484 N. Broadway. For those who can’t make the Burns hearing, another public hearing will be held at the Oregon Water Resources Department, 725 Summer St. NE in Salem on Wednesday, March 30, at 10 a.m.
