Donna Darleen Allen passed away Jan. 30.

Better known as Darleen, she was born March 30, 1937, and served the community of Harney County for the better part of her life, and though you might have not known it, she loved every minute.  Darleen couldn’t remember people’s names, but she could sure tell you exactly what you like to eat. In her later years, Darleen worked at the Harney County Chamber of Commerce. She was always amazed at the amount of people from all over the country that were interested in the little county she loved so much.

Darleen is survived by her daughters, Anita Anderson and Coleen Allen; son, Kevin Allen; grandchildren, Wayne Stewart, Wade Crawly, Juanita and Casey Wilber,  and Cody Allen; her buffalo, Betsy, and various other horses, dogs, and cats.

A service will be held at the Harney County Community Center at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13. In lieu of flowers or cards, an account has been set up at Umpqua Bank to help with funeral expenses. Any help would be appreciated.
