Hiroke Ide is also part of the AiM team.

On Oct. 1, Allegiant Integrative Medicine (AiM) will officially begin accepting and seeing new patients. The medical staff will focus on delivering primary medical care to all of Harney County. With special attention to regaining and restoring health using an integrative approach, AiM will pledge its allegiance to you as an individual, and work hard to help you achieve your maximum health potential.

The providers are here to serve you with primary medical care, regenerative medicine, nutrition and natural medicine, chiropractic, acupuncture, massage, and exercise rehabilitation. The clinic brings all this together, and much, much more.

The staff of AiM understands that people are more informed about health and wellness in today’s world, so they’ll explain the scientific basis of your complaint, its severity, how long it will take to get results, and how much it will cost. They know how hard it can be to manage resources in this day and age, so they’ll help reduce financial stress as you consider your healthcare needs.

Finally, office staff will help you through the maze of general insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, Workers Compensation claims, Oregon Health Plan, and veterans’ health.  They’ll work to reduce the stress of this part of healthcare.

If you would like an appointment, call 541-573-7733. You’ll be received by a friendly voice on the line. AiM will help answer any question you might have. Remember, AiM is where “Health Comes Naturally.”

Family nurse practitioner Rachel Shearer provides primary care at AiM.

AiM extends its warmest welcome to Rachel Shearer, a board-certified family nurse practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Shearer obtained her master of science degree in nursing from Maryville University in May 2019, and has experience working in primary care as a family nurse practitioner.

She has been a nurse for more than 10 years. After obtaining her associate degree from Oklahoma City Community College in 2008, Shearer earned a bachelor of science degree from the University of Oklahoma in 2012.

Her extensive nursing background includes experience in emergency medicine, medical surgical nursing, neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, and working concierge medicine in primary care as a family nurse practitioner. Over the years, she developed a passion for primary care and wanted to better serve her community by becoming a provider and helping individuals and their families achieve a higher level of overall health.

Shearer, who hails from Norman, Okla., said she fell in love with the Pacific Northwest after visiting the area with a friend in 2005. She said she was extremely excited to come to Burns, work with Dr. Johnson’s team at AiM, and practice primary care in such a wonderful community.

In her free time, Shearer enjoys playing tennis, hiking, running, hanging out with loved ones, reading, and walking her dog, Gretchen.

She is dedicated to living a healthy lifestyle and is interested in helping others achieve optimum health throughout their lifespan.
