Crane defeats North Lake, Jordan Valley

The Crane volleyball team picked up a pair of home victories on Saturday, Sept. 22, downing North Lake in three sets, and Jordan Valley in five.

In the first set with North Lake, the Mustangs broke a 3-3 tie with a four-point run, and eventually went ahead 19-10 on their way to the 25-12 win.

In the second set, Crane got hot early, jumping out to a 13-3 advantage on their way to a 25-10 victory.

The Mustangs then closed out the match with a 25-15 win in the third set.

In their second match of the day, Crane downed Jordan Valley 23-25, 25-19, 21-25, 25-22, 15-7.

Even though both teams are in the High Desert league, the match was not counted as a league contest.

Jordan Valley and Prairie City sit atop the league standings at 2-0, Dayville/Monument is 2-2, Crane and Adrian are both 1-1, Harper Charter 1-2, Burnt River 0-1, and Huntington 0-2.

Crane hosts both Harper and Huntington on Thursday, Sept. 27. The matches start at 5 p.m.
