Hilander wrestling team takes second in Klamath Falls

The Burns wrestling team had three individual champions and placed second as a team at the Henley Holiday Tournament held Thursday, Dec. 21, in Klamath Falls.

Justin Winn (113), Evan Gunderson (152), and Trace Prosser (182) all won their respective weight divisions to lead the Hilanders.

The Hilanders’ Devin Dickie (106), Kyran Simpson (145), and Mick Winn (170) finished in second place; taking third were Cody King (126) and Dawson Williams (145); William Johnson (160) wrestled to a fourth-place finish; Sebastian Johnson (138) placed fifth; and Harlan Gunderson (170) placed sixth.

Henley won the team title with 321 points, followed by Burns with 224.5, North Medford 224.5, Mazama 186, Klamath Union 128, North Valley 118, Bonanza 67, and Lakeview 43.
