Crane girls win district title

Lady Mustangs to host state playoff game on Saturday, Feb. 25

On Saturday, Feb. 18, the Lady Mustangs battled the Adrian Antelopes for the High Desert League (HDL) District Championship. The Mustangs, who had previously lost two games to the Antelopes, came away with the win, 56-51.

Claire Hammond, of Crane, was named the Player of the Game.

Friday, Feb. 17, the Mustangs played Jordan Valley, who they had lost to just six days before, and won, 46-38. This game put Crane through to the final round.

On Saturday, Feb. 25, the Lady Mustangs will play a playoff game in Crane. Their opponent will be determined by a playoff game to be played Wednesday, Feb. 22.

If the Mustangs win on Saturday, they will head to the state tournament held in Baker March 3-4.
