Community-Based Water Planning session to be held Jan. 18

The Harney County Watershed Council (HCWC) would like to invite members of the public to the first Community-Based Water Planning session from 5 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, at the Harney County Community Center, 484 N. Broadway in Burns. During this meeting, the proposed planning process will be outlined in order to solicit community feedback. They will also be forming some working groups for the planning process. If you are interested in helping our community plan for a sustainable water future, this is your opportunity to become involved. Volunteer participation will be crucial to Harney County’s success in developing a long-term local water plan. For more information, please contact Gretchen Bates, HCWC project manager for Community-Based Water Planning, 541-573-8921 (afternoons) or gretchen@hcwatershedcouncil.com.
