Barbara J. Barclay, 81, passed away June 11 at her home in Hines, after a long respiratory illness.

Barbara was born June 5, 1935, in Portland to Vaugh Whitaker and Maxine Kinderman. She graduated from Corvallis High School. She married Leo R. Barclay Nov. 22, 1958. They lived in the Corvallis area until she moved to Fields-Denio area in 1974.  She enjoyed farming and was an avid bookkeeper.

She is survived by her husband, Leo Barclay; son, Terry Barclay; daughter, Jeanny Lewis; and grandchildren, Sean Lewis and Taylor Lewis.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 23, in the Denio Community Hall. Contributions in Barbara’s memory may be made to the Denio Community Club.
