Runnels elected judge

Lucas to serve as district attorney

Once the final votes were tallied from the primary election held Tuesday, May 17, Pete Runnels had been elected Harney County judge with 52.98 percent of the vote.

“I am thrilled with the support, and I look ahead to the challenges and opportunities that we have ahead. There’s opportunity to work with the cities, as I can’t do this by myself. It’s going to take everybody, and with change comes opportunity,” Runnels said.
