Crane boys finish first, girls second at Christmas tournament Burns Basketball Burns Sports Sports December 23, 2015December 23, 20150 The Crane boys basketball team won both of their games, and claimed the first-place trophy at the Crane Christmas Tournament held Dec. 18-19. The Mustangs opened up the tournament by downing North Lake 53-35 in the first round. On Saturday, Crane played McDermitt, Nev., and came out on top 45-35. ••• The Crane girls basketball team placed second at the Crane Christmas Tournament after splitting their two games. Crane beat North Lake 56-29 in the opening round, and then lost to McDermitt 48-37. Going into Christmas break, the Crane girls own a 7-2 mark, and the boys are 6-3. ••• On Tuesday, Dec. 15, the Crane basketball teams traveled to McDermitt, and both teams returned home with victories under their belts. The Crane girls won 52-43, and the boys defeated McDermitt 34-28.
