Crane boys finish first, girls second at Christmas tournament

The Crane boys basketball team won both of their games, and claimed the first-place trophy at the Crane Christmas Tournament held Dec. 18-19.

The Mustangs opened up the tournament by downing North Lake 53-35 in the first round.

On Saturday, Crane played McDermitt, Nev., and came out on top 45-35.

Crane Girls BBThe Crane girls basketball team placed second at the Crane Christmas Tournament after splitting their two games.

Crane beat North Lake 56-29 in the opening round, and then lost to McDermitt 48-37.

Going into Christmas break, the Crane girls own a 7-2 mark, and the boys are 6-3.

On Tuesday, Dec. 15, the Crane basketball teams traveled to McDermitt, and both teams returned home with victories under their belts.

The Crane girls won 52-43, and the boys defeated McDermitt 34-28.
